Saint

The expression on his face tells the whole story and is what makes this so hard for me to turn away. At first, I thought he had his head on a baseball base, and was thinking that "home" might be a clever title - but now I see the title is "saint." Having read the comments below, I understand why it's named that, in a ironic sense. I hope this young man gets another chance at things - it looks like he's had all the hardship he can handle - and that's easy for me to relate to, hence the attraction.

If the goal of art is to move the audience by engendering an emotional response, then this picture certainly does it for me.

Good choice on going with black and white, color would have really tainted the beautiful, yet honest reality of his expression.
